Among the requirements quoted from the vacancy notice:
(i) Languages: Perfect command of the Spanish language, both written and spoken (which must be a first language). Fluency in English is essential. A good working knowledge of one of the Organization’s other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, and Russian) is desirable.
(ii) Education: A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in translation and interpretation, from a university or an institution of equivalent status.
(iii) Experience: At least 7 years of continuous translation experience, preferably within the United Nations system. Interpretation experience desirable though not essential.
